GT PGA TOUR 2026 Remote Download – Home Edition FAQ
What is a Remote Download?
A Remote Download is a Golden Tee software update that can be digitally downloaded and installed on a PGA TOUR cabinet without needing a USB Update Stick or being physically in front of the game.
How Can I Use the Remote Update?
You can start the Remote Update on your Golden Tee PGA TOUR cabinet running version 51.05.16 (GT PGA TOUR 2022) or higher.
Is There a Difference Between Downloading and Installing an Update?
Yes. Downloading stores the new software files on your hard drive. Installing applies them to make the update playable.
What is the Size of the GT PGA TOUR 2026 Software Download?
The file size for the Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2026 software update is 80 GB.
Once the Download is Complete, When Can I Install the New Software?
If you purchased early release access, installation starts at 7 AM CT on Monday, October 13. Otherwise, installation begins 7 AM CT on Monday, October 20. You can initiate installation through the Operator Menu.
Will My Game Be Playable During the Install?
No. The cabinet will be inoperable during installation. Do not power off the machine while it’s updating.
How Long Will the Installation Take?
Typically 1–2 hours, depending on your hard drive speed.
After Installation, Do I Need to Do Anything Else?
No. The game will retain your network settings and be ready to play once the update is complete.
Do I Need the Latest Software for This Installation to Work?
Your cabinet must be running GT PGA TOUR 2022 (v51.05.16) or newer. Versions 2023–2025 are fully compatible.

Can I Still Use an Update Stick?
